Greg Rebane, CPA – Founder &
Owner

Greg is the founder and owner-operator of GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. and has over 35 years of experience as a Chartered Professional Accountant. He started GMR 25 years ago to provide personalized, high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services to both individual and corporate clients.

Greg oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations, ensuring every engagement meets the highest professional standards. He combines deep technical expertise with a client-focused approach, helping businesses and individuals navigate complex financial and tax matters with confidence and clarity.

Jasmeen Basi, CPA, CGA – Senior Manager, Tax & Accounting

Jasmeen is a Senior Manager, Tax and Accounting at GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. where she oversees client engagements in accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services. Known for her accuracy, efficiency, and client-focused approach, she helps businesses and individuals meet their financial and tax goals.

With over 15 years at GMR, Jasmeen earned her CGA designation in 2014 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from BCIT. She also mentors professional staff and ensures that every engagement upholds GMR’s standards of quality and personalized service.

Howard Kung, CPA, CGA – Senior Manager, Tax & Accounting

Howard is a Senior Manager at GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. working closely with founder Greg Rebane, CPA on a wide range of tax and accounting engagements. He obtained his CPA designation in 2013 and brings strong technical skills, practical insights, and a client-focused approach to every engagement.

In addition to his work supporting the firm’s core client base, Howard is actively building and managing his own portfolio of clients within the GMR framework. He operates with full professional autonomy in serving his clients while maintaining the firm’s high professional and ethical standards.

Aaron Kenning, CPA – Senior Manager, Tax &
Accounting

As a Senior a Manager, Tax and Accounting at GMR Accounting & Tax Inc., Aaron oversees client engagements in accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services. With a focus on accuracy and practical solutions, he works closely with business owners and individuals to help them meet their financial and tax objectives. Aaron also mentors GMR’s professional staff and ensures every engagement reflects the firm’s commitment to quality and personalized service.

Aaron graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a BA in 2010 and completed the Diploma in Accounting Program (DAP) at UBC in 2015. He began working for GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. in October 2017, passed the CPA Common Final Examination in 2022, and obtained his CPA designation in 2024.

Gurpreet Banga – Senior Staff
Accountant

As a Senior Staff Accountant at GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. Gurpreet works directly with clients to provide accurate and timely accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services. She focuses on understanding each client’s unique needs, delivering practical solutions, and helping businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals.

Gurpreet has been with GMR Accounting & Tax Inc. for over three years and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Panjab University, India, along with additional training from Selkirk College and BCIT. She plays a key role in supporting client accounting and tax processes while maintaining GMR’s commitment to accuracy and professional standards.
